A Safe Place for Amazing Girls to Make Friends, Bring Friends and talk about Life and School. This is a safe, caring place for girls ages 11-14 to meet and explore issues such as friendships, boys, peer pressure, acceptance, and bullying. In today’s climate, girls are faced with numerous challenges unseen in prior generations and need a safe place to explore ways to master these obstacles and gain self-confidence, all the while making new friends and socializing!
What makes this group unique from other groups is that each girl who is a part of the group is assigned a high school girl as a mentor. This dynamic is a crucial part of girls group as it allows the younger girls to be heard by girls who have made it through the same struggles and can relate in a more personal way.
All mentors are vetted and trained to ensure that they are able to be a mentor and someone who can be an example to their younger counterpart. The older girls come from a variety of high schools in the Longmont and surrounding areas. They are all in some form of leadership class or attempting to get their community service hours for advance classes. These are some of the most outstanding girls in high school today, and we are blessed to have them!
We meet every other Saturday at the office, 2030 Terry St. and would love to have you join us! Please contact us for more information!
